KAIRA tells urban sagas of northern cities.
"Kaira" is an old Finnish word, which refers to vast open frontiers in the north. The band Kaira tells the urban sagas of northern cities. Stories of loving and loosing love, living everyday life in the cold winters and white summer nights.
The idea of KAIRA is exceptional: once a decade the top jazz musicians of Finland join forces to create an album of brand new Finnish jazz, originally composed for this band. The composition of this all star team varies from project to project.
All of the musicians are highly respected artists in the Nordic music scene and frequently seen playing at the biggest music festivals.
